CRJ’s Safer Driving

Young people from the Newry DEA over the recent weeks have had the opportunity to complete a ‘Safer Driving Programme’ which was designed to give young people a new skills set and prepare them for the the motoring environment.

The sessions explored hazards & risks, a trip to Newry Firestation for a demonstration and a case study.  On completion of the sessions, the young people were awarded with FREE Driving Lessons to reward them for their participation and commitment to the programme.

The programme was delivered by Community Restorative Justice’s – Digging Deeper Project and was funded and supported by the International Fund For Ireland through their Peace Impact Programme.

Three Ways Community Association were delighted to put forward four of our young people and are delighted each of them completed and soon will be putting their new skills set to use when they take to the roads to preapre for their theory and driving exams.

A massive well done to all young people involved from across the DEA, and a special mention to Community Restorative Justice Newry Armagh and their faciliators for providing this excellent and well attended programme by addressing the needs of our young people.
