We were delighted with the turnout for this year’s triumphant fun day. It was wonderful to see so many families enjoying themselves, just how it should be.
We send our thanks to the team at Cromore Events for the fantastic and very popular activities and to Eddie & Co for bringing the chip van.
A big thank you to everyone who donated to our chosen charities. The proceeds raised have been added to our overall donation pot.
Thanks to the residents who came along this afternoon to our get-together.
An enjoyable afternoon with plenty of laughs and stories.
Big thank you to Patricia McCann for baking a cake for our committee, it was greatly appreciated.

Day 5 is complete!
A short trip down the road to Gosford.
A brisk walk around the forest, a go on the zipline where the ’leaders’ were more excited and childish than the actual children, followed by an hour or two in the park.
That’s our youth club summer scheme finished for another year. We hope all the young people enjoyed their week much as we did. We did have the best young people all week.
Looking forward to having them all at the youth club!
Day 4 is complete!
A more casual day today began with a colouring contest followed by an active game of musical chairs (the older games are the best).
After lunch, we proceeded to the new play park at Kilmorey Park and all the young people were very impressed. A tremendous job was achieved by our local council, it’s great to see so many young children making lasting memories which many mums and dads have from their childhoods.

Summer Scheme Day 3 is complete… Shattered
Day trip out to Dublin Zoo today, another lovely but long day.
Plenty of animal watching and peeking for their favourite animals in the glorious Dublin sunshine.
They’ll certainly sleep tonight, as will the youth leaders!
Onwards to day 4!
This evening, some of our older youth club and youth group took part in an introduction to African Drumming.
Tougher than it looks, it was a very enjoyable evening thanks to Cassie from the EA Youth Service.
Followed by some very tasty food from The Crispy Cod thanks to Carl and Rachael. It went down a treat with the young people!
Our thanks also to Newry, Mourne and Down District Council for the financial assistance via our good relations programme.
Day 2 of our summer scheme was a sports day, lunch from Macs Pizzas Ltd and an afternoon full of team-building games facilitated by the fantastic Amy.
Another great day filled with fun, laughter and sunshine.
Looking forward to our trip out tomorrow for day 3.
The rain didn’t bother them at the beginning anyway, soon dried out and away they were as happy and excited as ever.
